Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
The short version: this site has no accounts and no database. Your scores and streaks are saved in your own browser and never sent anywhere. Advertising, once switched on, is provided by Google and uses cookies. Analytics is cookieless and stores nothing on your device.
What is active right now
- Advertising: not active. No advertising cookies are being set yet.
- Analytics: active (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Cookieless - nothing is stored on your device.
- Local storage: active on toys that track scores or streaks.
This site currently sets no cookies of any kind - the analytics in use does not need them. That changes only if advertising is switched on, and this box changes on the day it does.
Who runs this site
10minutes.fun is operated by an individual based in India, and is read worldwide. For the purposes of data protection law, that operator is the controller of any personal data described on this page, and can be reached at contact@10minutes.fun.
Data stored in your browser
Several toys remember things between visits: a personal best on the reaction test, a daily streak, an unlocked hat, a shopping cart. These are written to your browser's localStorage under keys beginning with 10mf:.
This is not a cookie. It is never transmitted with network requests, never sent to me, and never synced between your devices. I have no way to read it. Clearing your browsing data, or using your browser's site-data controls for this domain, deletes it permanently and immediately. If your browser blocks storage entirely, the toys still work — they simply forget everything when you close the tab.
Information I do not collect
- No accounts, usernames, or passwords, because there is no login.
- No email address unless you choose to write to me.
- No scores, results, drawings or gameplay data on any server.
- No profile of you, and nothing sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising by me.
The site is served as static files from a content delivery network. The hosting provider processes standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent and timestamp in order to deliver the page and protect against abuse, as any web host must.
Advertising
This site is funded by advertising through Google AdSense.
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info, or for European users at youronlinechoices.eu.
Where advertising is served by Google's partner networks rather than Google alone, those vendors may also set cookies. Details of how Google and its partners handle data from sites that use its services are at Google's partner sites policy.
Ads are always labelled, and are kept out of the interactive part of every toy. That is a design rule here, not a courtesy.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is used to understand which toys people actually use and where visitors arrive from. It records aggregate figures only: page views, referring site, approximate country, browser, and device type.
It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you between sites or build a profile of you. Your IP address is processed in transit to derive an approximate country and to filter automated traffic - it is not stored in the analytics data and is never visible to me. There is nothing here to opt out of, because nothing about you is retained.
Cookies and similar technologies
What is used, and what each thing is for:
| Set by | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| This site | Your scores, streaks and unlocks | localStorage, not a cookie. Never leaves your device. |
| Google AdSense | Serving and measuring ads, frequency capping, fraud prevention | Cookies, set only with consent where consent is required |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Aggregate traffic measurement | No cookies. Nothing stored on your device. |
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland
Before any advertising cookie is set, you are shown a consent banner provided through a Google-certified consent management platform, as Google requires of its publishers in these regions. You can accept, refuse, or choose which purposes to allow.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by reopening that banner using the “Privacy settings” link in the site footer, which appears whenever advertising is running, and by clearing this site's cookies in your browser. Refusing consent does not restrict any toy on this site — everything here works identically either way. Where consent is refused, only non-personalised advertising is served.
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Because no personal data about you is held on any server I control, most of these have nothing here to act on; requests relating to advertising data are handled by Google through the links above. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, California residents have rights to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.
I do not sell your personal information, and I hold none of it. Advertising cookies set by Google may, however, constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. To opt out, use Google Ads Settings, or enable a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which this site's consent tooling honours where it is presented. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
How long anything is kept
Data in your browser stays until you clear it — I set no expiry because I have no way to reach it. Cookies set by Google expire according to Google's own retention schedules, described in the links above. Server logs held by the hosting provider are short-lived and used only for delivery and abuse prevention. Email you send me is kept for as long as the conversation is useful and then deleted.
Cameras, microphones, and sensors
A small number of planned toys need device permissions to work at all. Where that happens, your browser will ask first, and the page will explain what it needs and why. Any such data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded, recorded, or transmitted. If you decline the permission, the toy tells you what it cannot do rather than silently failing.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect information from them. There is no mechanism here for anyone of any age to submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal data, write to me and I will act on it.
Changes and contact
This policy is updated when the site's behaviour changes, and the date at the top changes with it. Questions, requests, or complaints go to contact@10minutes.fun.
